Thomas is not only a top comedian and impressionist, he is also not a household name, which makes him ideal for your next corporate function.
Why? His material is clean and having worked as a CPA in his previous career he has intimate knowledge of the machinations of a business.
Thomas has performed in places as far a field as London, Kuala Lumpur and Darwin and in venues including The Comedy Store (Sydney), The Banana Cabaret (London) and The Comedy Club (Melbourne).
He has performed with many of the legends of the Australian comedy scene – Dave Hughes, Dave O’Neil, Rove, Austen Tayshus, Richard Stubbs , George Smilovici and a host of others.
Thomas' first stand up gig was in December 1994 at the HaBloodyHa Club in London where he won his heat of The New Comic of the Year. Unfortunately, he had to return to Australia before the final, therefore he still claims he is undefeated!
Whilst in Melbourne between 1996 and 2000 Thomas appeared in several Melbourne comedy festival shows including Hughesy and Friends (1996) and the Perrier nominated “Up and at em Australia” featuring Bob Franklin.
In 1997 he was the resident comic at Dracula's Cabaret in Melbourne, performing up to 7 shows a week. On radio Thomas has featured on Nova, Triple M and co-hosted a show on Triple R in Melbourne with Dave Hughes.
TV appearances include A Current Affair, Money, The Big Schmooze, Headliners and On the Street for The Comedy Channel, Recovery (ABCTV), Australia's Funniest People (winner) and Hey Hey It's Saturday. Thomas' humour can be heard as part of "Home Grown Humour" on the Austereo Network.
As an impressionist Thomas’ impersonations are much sought after for comedy cd releases including The Hollywood Motel (featuring Eric Idle) and The Footy Wars. He was also a regular cast member on the long running international radio serial "The X-Fools". He has also, when required, performed voices for Australia’s Funniest Home Videos.
The following are a sample of quotes from Thomas' satisfied clients:
"What a fantastic deception! Thomas created a character so real that our team still can't believe he isn't Lieutenant Col Bromhead! Weeks later the team are still talking about it. The highlight of our conference. I couldn't recommend a person more! Thanks Thomas!"
Darren Johannesen, Pioneer Electronics
"On behalf of the Club, and particularly the Members and guests who attended, I wish to thank you for your outstanding performance at our James Bond Ball on Saturday evening … your segment was the highlight and you executed it perfectly … several members asked 'who was that?' and were clearly as impressed as I was."
Carolyn Beaton, The Australia Club
"Thanks for being our special guest … we were all impressed with your amazing impersonations."
Maree Lacy, Accountancy Link
"My cheeks were sore from laughing so much! I can't wait to find an excuse to use you again."
Leanne Barrow, Oracle
"He was fantastic. We set the scene up well where he arrived during my speech and with Santa wandering around. We challenged him as he walked into the room and asked why he wasn’t at the airport doing the job he was rostered for, he hit back and it all went from there. It added to the night superbly."
Jim Hawkesford, Managing Director, Hawkesford's Luxury Coaches
"Thank you for a most enjoyable presentation. Your John Howard impersonation was amazing. It went down extremely well..
